How We Started
i.e tech began where our customers work: on the shop floor, watching good businesses run on scattered spreadsheets, phone calls, and the memory of their busiest people.
We're engineers by background — our team has shipped software at global technology companies, contributed to open-source engineering projects, and worked hands-on with tier-1 manufacturers and precision parts producers. What kept striking us was the gap: world-class machining and casting happening on the floor, while the information around it moved on paper.
So we started i.e tech to close that gap properly. Not by selling licences and leaving, but by doing the unglamorous first step ourselves — walking the plant, mapping how orders, material, and money actually move, and only then deploying software shaped around it.
Today that approach is our entire company: a consulting-led suite of ERP, CAD, and shop-floor IoT for manufacturers, foundries, and engineering businesses that have outgrown the spreadsheet era.
What we believe
- The plant is the spec. Software should bend around your process, not the other way round.
- Deployment is the product. A system nobody uses is shelfware; training and adoption are part of every engagement.
- Founders answer the phone. You'll deal with the people who build the product — before and after go-live.
